Re-imagine Healthcare
Affirmative action for Pharma should end. The breadth of available medicine and doctors are suppressed by Pharma, with censorship of alternative voices, which is not a benefit to the public.
Alternative medicine has consistently shown competitive and frequently better health outcomes, and it only makes sense to include us and our optional treatments in public discussions of human health and medicine. By us, I mean those of us whose professions are never uttered in mainstream media (MSM), namely chiropractors, naturopathic physicians and acupuncturists, who are licensed healthcare practitioners in our respective states. The silence is so complete that those of us who must not be named are still strangers to much of the public. Pharmaceutical advertising has comprised about 70% of MSM revenue, and our invisibility seems likely to be a condition of that financing. After all, what do those of us in alternative medicine do? We find metabolically compatible, system-repairing and low cost solutions to peoples’ health issues that often obviate drugs. Hence the silence about us.
In my case, and others like me, there is even more censorship. After 20,100 followers, on 2/19/21, Twitter suspended my account permanently. The Biden administration had demanded that Big Tech censor people with different viewpoints, and I turned out to be one of those people. The tweet they cited is below, a verbatim and verifiable quote from an infectious disease professor (on an infectious disease topic) with a still active link to a mainstream news source. https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/297051
So the American Freedom Law Center is suing the Biden Administration and Twitter on my behalf over their violation of the First Amendment. Here is a description of that suit. https://www.americanfreedomlawcenter.org/press-release/amended-complaint-details-conspiracy-between-biden-administration-and-twitter-for-censoring-speech-critical-of-covid-19-vaccination-policy/ Oral arguments have now been heard regarding the President’s and Twitter’s motion to dismiss and we are awaiting that decision.
Censorship enables restriction of available medicines
Pharma dominance of medicine is not just a phenomenon of the US, of course, nor only of the past two years; it has only become more entrenched during that time. The pharmaceutical industry has controlled medicine in the US for over a century. The 1910 Flexner Report was a decisive turning point when US medical colleges that taught non-petrochemical-derived medicine, such as nutrition and botanical medicine and hot-cold hydrotherapy and other natural healing practices, were closed at the behest of the Rockefeller Family and their friends in government. Since then, and particularly in the last two decades, many physicians who may have practiced in accordance with the dictates of conscience, critical thinking skills and best interests of their patients, have sold their once private medical practices to large hospitals and have become their employees. Once independent, outspoken MDs have become noticeably and increasingly silent on even the most critical events in US healthcare, especially during the COVID era.
Public confidence in conventional medicine has dropped, perhaps because the corporate ownership of medical personnel has not been lost on the public; nor has it endeared people to physicians. JAMA reported that in 2002, 77% of US adults had a primary physician. That dropped to 75% in 2015. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/article-abstract/2757495. Then, even with the increase in telemedicine consults in 2020, there was a 26% decline in total encounters for new medications during the second quarter of 2020 compared with 2018 and 2019 levels. https://www.healio.com/news/primary-care/20201002/despite-surge-in-telehealth-primary-care-visits-drop-21-amid-covid19 Back in 1976, during a doctor shortage, 62% of Americans had a doctor for continuing care for most of their general medical problems, even if such care were provided by a specialist, and it was assumed then that that number would climb into the 80th and 90th percentile by the end of the century as this shortage was expected to ease. But those percentages have not been realized. https://www.nytimes.com/1979/06/14/archives/end-to-us-doctor-shortage-by-late-1980s-forecast-12-lack-regular.html
Perhaps it is not so much the provider that the public is skeptical about so much as the pharmaceutical influence on that provider, and the disappointing materia medica from which conventional medical providers draw. The public witnessed in the last two years patently obvious slander of low-cost, high-safety drugs and nutrients used for COVID patients, while also seeing the most deadly vaccine in our lifetimes being promoted relentlessly and coercively by MSM and governments around the world. See data on vaccine injuries and deaths as recorded by the US government on https://vaers.hhs.gov/ and summarized on https://openvaers.com/covid-data
It has also not been lost on the public that large numbers of doctors, nurses and pharmacists are willing to risk their lives not to take the COVID vaccines, and that much of western Europe, Canada and Australia have been out in the streets protesting mandates for the same. If the vaccines were safe and effective, as alleged by the cartel, why all the pushback, including from medical personnel? To any casual observer, except the most religiously Covidian, something is very much amiss, and cynicism rises.
For those of us who have never entrusted our healthcare to conventional medicine, it is puzzling to us why others accept new and seemingly permanent prescriptions for drugs that could have been pre-empted by natural means. Or why people are willing to pay thousands of dollars per year for health insurance premiums. In 2021, the average family premium was $1,852 per month. Or $22,221 per year, which could easily consume the entire net earnings of one family member. https://www.kff.org/report-section/ehbs-2021-summary-of-findings/#figurea From outside of this system looking inward, those of us “health nuts” who, instead of doing all that, exercise several times per week and eat whole natural foods, wonder why anyone inside the system would find their expensive and side-effect constrained lifestyle to be a worthwhile choice over the alternative.
In this somewhat dated article from several years ago, I compared my conventional and naturopathic medical curricula, having attended both. I just noticed that most of the links still work. https://naturopathicstandards.org/naturopathic-medical-education/ Naturopathic physicians have had approximately twice as many courses in medical school as MDs and DOs have had. All of conventional physicians’ academic work is done in the first two years. Naturopathic physicians, on the other hand, have a unique medical curriculum in a number of respects, including that we have full-term courses in neurology, cardiology, pulmonology, etc., all the way down, whereas most other physicians are taught these on rotations. This leads to a big difference in understanding of physiological mechanisms. These courses are advanced, applied anatomy and physiology. On the other hand, we naturopathic physicians have seen far fewer patients than MDs or DOs by the time we graduate from medical school, 700 to 1200 usually in our case. Classroom learning versus living medicine; each has its strengths.
It’s kind of ridiculous that those of us with the most comprehensive medical education on the planet should be unreimbursed by insurance, undiscussed in the media and unconsulted about public health, while we naturopathic physicians, chiropractors and acupuncturists can at least offer health-restoring and preventive strategies.
Censorship in medicine costs lives
I don’t know any other doctor or scientist who provided such an early and thorough warning, with so many peer-reviewed studies to back the warning, against the COVID vaccines as I did in February 2021. https://www.primarydoctor.org/covidvaccine Now the public is horrified to find out what I wrote then, and even the health and life insurance industries, which one would have expected to stay alert much earlier, are finally learning of the beginning of the carnage of the COVID vaccines.
A German insurer with direct and affiliated 10.9 million members has this to say about a huge increase in severe side effects after COVID vaccination:
twitter.com/Tim_Roehn/status/1496542748165427209
And a large US life insurance company has picked up on the vast increase in deaths across the US – not in 2020, the year of peak COVID-ascribed deaths, but rather in 2021, the year of widespread vaccine uptake. https://www.thecentersquare.com/indiana/indiana-life-insurance-ceo-says-deaths-are-up-40-among-people-ages-18-64/article_71473b12-6b1e-11ec-8641-5b2c06725e2c.html
Deaths in the US have surged since the COVID vaccine rollout. This from Johns Hopkins University:
The US Department of Defense shows the enormous increase in serious diseases and injuries that have befallen their typically young and healthy recruits. Note the several hundred times increase in 2021 of each of the following diseases. https://www.rwmalonemd.com/s/Data-from-DoD.xlsx
Look at all the carnage that could have been avoided if my warning had been heeded in February 2021, when a large majority of Americans had not yet received any COVID vaccine. And this is precisely the time that Twitter, under instruction from the Biden Administration, sought to suppress that warning.
It is of course not only – and not even mostly - in alternative medicine professions that warnings have been forthcoming about the predatory nature of Pharma in general and the devastating effects of the COVID vaccines. Other doctors who are generally outside of the field of public health, but should also have been consulted regarding COVID topics before the imposition of draconian and ineffective mandates include the following: Simone Gold MD JD, Pierre Kory MD, Zev Zelenko MD, Stella Immanuel MD, Richard Urso MD and later in the COVID era of course, Joe Ladapo MD and Peter McCullough MD, who, in tireless public appearances and consultation with the few lawmakers who listen, have been at the forefront of offering and explaining effective treatments and effective preventive measures regarding COVID disease and SARS-CoV-2 infection. Dr. Kory writes frequently on these topics
Alternative medicine doctors beside myself who have been speaking about COVID topics, and urging more sensible and proven approaches to COVID treatment include the following: Ben Tapper DC, Eric Nepute DC and Alex Vasquez DC NMD DO. Dr. Vasquez writes on these topics in detailed discussion of mechanisms of action, a favorite topic of naturopathic physicians. https://healthythinking.substack.com/about
We in alternative or natural medicine do not want to become the new dictators. I don’t know any of us who desire to force others to have certain kinds of medical treatments and would not want or even imagine the tyranny or headaches that come with that anyway. Rather, if we take a seat at the table, and if we add our voluminous materiae medicae, from the botanical monographs, to 5,000 year old Traditional Chinese Medicine to Ayurveda to the vast intricacies of nutritional interventions as understood in the metabolic pathways . . . If we could add all of that to the materia medica contained in the Merck Manual and the US Pharmacopeia, and if all that vast knowledge could be available for consideration by the public as options that individuals might choose among, or when it comes to reimbursable healthcare treatments and giving our medical opinions on MSM and social media, and participating in state and federal funded healthcare programs, then the public will certainly be better served.
What does alternative or natural medicine have to offer?
When you eat a meal, the following happens. Thank you, Sigma Aldrich!
Want to understand this better? Or to resolve a metabolic problem? Consult a doctor who actually studied nutrition in medical school. And even better, don’t censor us from social media or mainstream media.
They have to censor you. The truth will be exposed if they don't. And the truth makes them look really bad.
The few times I've been to an allopathic "doctor" in my life, the first thing they have done is pulled out the prescription pad. I don't think I've ever left an allopathic clinic *without* a prescription of some kind. The last time I went, I told the young doctor that I had been trying to relieve my issue with food and the "doctor" said, "We shouldn't be using food to try and fix things with our body" (that's absolutely what she said! I was shocked) That was my final time. I'll never go back. The only thing I would see an allopath for now would be for a traumatic injury. I've had it with this "medical" system. I'm still extremely concerned by the amount of people in this country (and probably the world) who are blindly and *obediently* "doing what they are told" with the only thing they truly own from birth to death: Their body. Not "allowing" people to choose alternative treatments and especially not allowing practitioners of *all* types of medicine to the table is just another crime against humanity.
