I had no idea such a thing as ‘Health Share’ plans existed. Thank you for raising it as a viable option to the parasitic conventional plans.

During the timeframe of the original inception of the govt plan “Obamacare” fortunately there was a provision placed early on in the process put there by the Repugs that there would be no penalty if you chose because of personal “religious” views an opposition to being a part of Obamacare due to your views on abortion. Because my wonderful brother was adopted by my folks - I had a conscientious objection to abortion & have always advocated for adoption instead. I am not here to judge anyone for their position - this is simply my conscientious choice. Fortunately, these Health Share plans allowed me to do that. For several years I paid a monthly fee which started in the upper $300’s - upper $400’s. I never did have to use the plan for myself - so even tho I was not able to take a tax deduction, those years, the IRS was not allowed to penalize me. It is a viable alternative.

I just wish HSA’s (Health Safety Accounts) were more feasible.

I find socialized medicine very average at best & not the best scenario in a freedom-loving society that does not wish to be entangled with the govt for their healthcare needs.

What you are describing is true reformed Christianity. A return of medicine, charity, welfare and education to their proper spheres, (ie: church, family, local organizations and local governments) along with a repudiation of government fiat currency. This is the direction we need to head. And as you pointed out, you don’t need to ‘confess religion’ to participate. See the ‘good Samaritan’ parable.

What a great podcast topic. I’m an insurance broker. Every time I visit the health insurance carriers I sell for, I see the covid 19 ads & disclaimers. I need to call the alternative carriers you listed.

Did you mention Christian Healthcare Ministries? I've been with them for a long time. I had to use them last year when I had a bike accident and wound up with roughly 80k in hospital bills. They handled it all! They've since changed their rules a tad, which is hard to explain in a short post, but I expect them to still be great.

One of the rules that has changed is that there is no more reduction in "premium" for getting a discount from the provider. Rather, discounts can be obtained by referring others. So, here is my referral link. https://christianhealthcareministries.referralrock.com/l/1FABIOMORO18/

Thank you. I had not heard of them and will add them to the article now. I just looked at their site and like that they say, "You do not need approval or permission . . . All medical decisions are made by the doctor and the patient." What a refreshing change from the top-down medical tyranny in the hospitals and among the robo-docs!

Doctors and nurses who were dumb enough to take this jab are not smart enough to be your doctor or nurse. And now, many of them are injured or dead. Hard lesson.

Yes, and I think health shares can make it feasible for people to move away from such a miserable system.

How does this work with retired military I am going through much problems with healthcare the premiums are very low compared to most peoples plans I have tricare but the problem is my healthcare was mostly working for me until this pandemic now all that happens is I get referred endlessly for one provider to the next and nothing gets addressed I just am on a conveyor belt paying copays I feel unheard and the referrals are always to these giant conglomerate entities that make you sign your rights away basically example ascension network I’m sitting on unused referrals right now that I feel are useless

Hi Colleen, I've been thinking about this too, so your article came at a perfect time. 🙏 I live in California and I've belonged to Kaiser for 25 years. I had a friend who's been in a health sharing program (I'll ask her which one) and I was going to join hers, but she enrolled in Kaiser this year instead. She took the vaccine and her rheumatoid arthritis pain has been through the roof. I looked through each of the healthcare websites you included, but can't find an answer to 2 important questions. Will you answer them? 1) Do you have a hard time finding healthcare professionals? I live in the Bay area California and most doctors are a part of a major health insurance company like Kaiser or blue cross. I want to use more alternative sources, like ozone therapy was very helpful to me this year. 2) the health sharing program list what treatments are or are not covered? I can also call and find out, but it's nice to find these things out from a member.

Have the same questions, live in the same area. It would be helpful if there existed a broker familiar with these plans.

Big fan of Brian Berletic, pleased to see cross postings between COVID and geopolitics writers.

I was just able to sign up after waiting nearly a year for a Direct Primary Care practice near to me with one of those great doctors you've seen on the road, just not as often as the primary tier.

This particular service as do many will layer perfectly on top of Medicare and your supplements if you choose that as well, which we will. Not affordable for all but those of us who can should do it to help drive the support of that movement back toward independent practices and insurance free medicine. We have long accessed physicians who don't bill insurance, we pay full price and send in insurance claim ourselves for about 1/4 reimbursement. So we have some familiarity with the benefits that can bring. The degree and swiftness of care has always justified the investment.

We need better directories of doctors and practitioners and labs of all sorts by state so they can be more easily found.
